Σας ενημερώσω για ένα διεθνή φοιτητικό διαγωνισμό, το Global Schinlder Award, στη φετινή διοργάνωση του οποίου και στην επιλογή της περιοχής μελέτης συμμετείχαν, δια μέσου του ΕΤΗ, παλιοί φοιτητές μας.
Registration is now open
The Global Schindler Award (GSA) opened its registration on the 1st of August 2014 with entries due on the 31st of January 2015. With 150,000 USD in prizes, the GSA enables students from around the world to share their ideas for creating open and inclusive urban environments, using the key competition theme of mobility. The competition concept – Designing the City as a Resource – will aid in the creation of specific proposals for a given site in Shenzhen, part of the Pearl River Delta in China. Unique opportunity for young architects The competition is an excellent opportunity for young architects to have their designs judged by an international jury of renowned experts from a diverse range of fields, including Prof. Phillip Rode of LSE Cities, Prof. Kongjian Yu of Turenscape, Prof. Farshid Moussavi of Harvard University, Mr. Yan Meng, of Urbanus, Mr. Jackie Han, president of Schindler Elevator, China and more. The GSA also gives students a chance to contribute to facing some of the most important challenges shared by societies around the world: from the provision of public space and environmental concerns to the better integration of economy, politics and the built environment. The GSA will conclude with an award ceremony in Hong Kong, in April 2015. Teams that are nominated for prizes, along with their faculty supervisors, will be invited to attend.
