Georgina Huljich is an Architect and Educator. She holds a Professional Degree from the National University of Rosario, Argentina and a Master of Architecture from UCLA where she graduated with Distinction and was the recipient of several design awards. She has previously worked at the Guggenheim Museum and at Morphosis Architects in Los Angeles.

Academically, Georgina is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Department of Architecture at UCLA where she teaches since 2006. She has been a Visiting Professor at several universities most notably at the Universities of Yale, Pennsylvania, Syracuse, Berkeley, TIT in Tokyo and Di Tella University in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her work has been published and exhibited widely, being her current research focused on strange peripheries in Europe and Asia and the way they affect notions of type, form and aesthetics.  Georgina is also a member of the Executive Board of the prestigious Center for the Arts of Performance at UCLA and she has served in National Juries for the Rome Prize and AIA Awards.

Professionally, Georgina is Director of P-A-T-T-E-R-N-S together with Marcelo Spina. P-A-T-T-E-R-N-S has gained international recognition as one of the most intriguing and progressive firms working in architecture today, with completed projects in the U.S., South America and Asia. As a leading architectural practice based in Los Angeles, it specializes in architectural design across scales and contexts: from small objects and temporary installations to large buildings and extra-large masterplans; from dense urban cores to exotic idyllic islands.  Ultimately, P-A-T-T-E-R-N-S brings a critical and progressive approach to architectural practice, insisting on the cultural and social relevance of architectural form and aesthetics in the contemporary city.

Georgina’s and PATTERNS work has been exhibited worldwide, most notably at the Venice Biennale in Italy, The Chicago Biennial, the Art Institute of Chicago, The San Francisco MOMA and The Vienna MAK Museum, where it is also part of their permanent collections.
