Summer courses in Architecture at ECA in Venice Italy

The European Cultural Academy offers short courses in art, architecture and urban design during the Venice Biennale. You will receive insider knowledge from industry experts, in intimate environments such as studio visits, Q & A sessions and workshops. 
 
In 2019 ECA offers two courses in Architecture and Urban Design: 
 
CONTEMPORARY ARCHITECTURE - HOW TO MAKE YOUR IDEAS STAND OUT. 
DATES: JULY 8 - 20, 2019
 
During the course you will review the most powerful communication strategies for architects and learn how to integrate them into your daily practice. Using the Venetian build environment as a case study you will explore the narratives and communication strategies around signature projects. You will enrich your portfolio by developing your own project in a 3D lab.

CITY LAB VENICE: SPACE - PEOPLE – POSSIBILITIES
DATES: July 7-11, 2019
 
In the one-week course you critically and playfully explore public space not only as a "generosity" that architecture can offer to society but also as a political, social and deeply urban condition. The outcome of the one-week course will be a magazine. Created by the participants, it includes your personal projects that reflect on the role of public space in Venice.
