The course focuses on the complex interrelations between the text and the space of the city. The core research question is: how can we creatively correlate the city as archive with spatiality and narrativity, in order to qualitatively enrich the available tools and methodologies of architectural design? By using the most up-to-date bibliographical sources, the new experimental course’s field of investigation is the possible mingling of literary narrative with advanced cartographic methods, for the purpose of constructing original conceptual architectures of the city. Through interdisciplinary researches into the frontiers between architectural creation, literary theory, philosophy and geocriticism, the course will attempt to incorporate the hidden spatiality of the text with the latent or potential narrativity of the city.
