Open and green spaces in the city. Introduction to the analysis and design of open spaces (roads-squares networks, urban and off-urban green spaces, coast-lines, rivers and streams networks) in the urban and off-urban space, giving emphasis on the approaches of analysis and design of these networks as a vehicle of nature to the city, but also, on topics of their definition, sufficiency and design, as well as, co-operation and complementarity between public and private outdoor spaces.
The basic categories and sections of the outdoor spaces are analysed with examples from history and today’s design approaches of natural and artificial formulation in the city, while the principles, conditions and directions of protecting the natural networks in the city and on the borderline of the city (coasts, rivers, streams, lakes, forests and mountains) are examined
