The course introduces a methodological approach for the analysis and evaluation of critical aspects regarding decision making in the urban design process. The case study is the area of intervention proposed by the Urban Design course, at the 9th semester. In order to help the students organize better, correlate, compare and evaluate consistently all the parameters for a successful result, the following analysis is proposed:Spatial analysis –using the methodology of "Space Syntax"/ Visibility analysis–using Benedikt's "isovists and isovist fields"/ Static and animated day lighting analysis–using 3dmodels of the city/ Urban Climatology analysis–using 3d microclimate models to simulate the surface-plant-air interactions in urban environment
