Study and design of urban space taking into consideration physical, formal, functional and cultural aspects as well as landscape elements and environmental qualities within given urban setting. The course focuses on the investigation of the interrelation between built and open spaces as well as the articulation between public and private space, building typologies, interconnection of landscape entities and green networks, pursuit of sustainable mobility and improvement of accessibility. Embarking upon the formulation of a spatial strategy (key diagram) it proceeds to the organization of a masterplanand elaboration of design proposals for buildings and outdoor spaces with thematic focus based on different directions of investigation, such as:
