TITLE OF COURSE

The Poster as a Synthetic Tool and Means of Communication

AIM

The development of our visual perception, in terms of controlling visual language, as recipients or creators of images.

COURSE CONTENT

Visual communication experiments with free choice of media (video, audio files, actions, installations, sketches, collages, photos, etc.).

COURSE SUBJECT

The visual elements of your upcoming lecture, or your diploma project, or any other subject concerning your studies that you are currently interested in.

The aim is to visually communicate your project through alternative and experimental practices.

COURSE PROJECT

A document which includes the following:

• Description and information about your subject (research)

• The reasons for your choice

• The goal of the visual elements you have used in your presentation. What is their aim? Why have you chosen these   specific media (drawings, collages, photos, videos, audio files, actions, installations, etc.) for your presentation?

• Which parts of your presentation refer to touch, hearing or smell (if applicable) and how? Do you connect your techniques with the senses?

• Beyond the design, are you interested in indicating the temperature or the sounds of the environment?

• If you are interested in revealing the history of the space, how have you achieved it?

• 4-5 pages with the steps of the procedure you have followed (photos - notes)

• Notes with maps, mind maps, images, collages, digital images, etc.

If necessary, handmade work and prints will be presented separately. Video and audio files will also be presented separately.

In the exam you will give a presentation of your final work and deliver all the material.
