The course focuses on familiarizing students with the methods and practices which are pertinent in order to develop a gender perspective in the analysis and design of space. Experience, meaning and use of space, as well as planning and design issues, are examined from the perspective of the constitution of (different) gendered identities, along with a series of other socio-cultural characteristics, such as sexuality, “race” and ethnicity. A particular topic or area of interest is specified every year, around which lectures and exercises are organized.
The course will not be taught during the current academic year
