In the proposed new course of the 9th Semester, we focus on the investigation of the interactions and relationships between three concepts: The ‘City’ – The ‘Landscape’ – The ‘Archive’. Believing in a conceptual approach of design problems, we would like to investigate the public space of the city as a framework for the communication of ideas. Those ideas have to do with concepts of ‘nature’, as well as with conceptions of ‘culture’. We therefore will examine the complex relations between the city, landscape and culture in Modernity.
