Research in the School of Architecture covers a broad range of topics on a variety of spatial scales, in line with the School’s priorities in undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral studies. As a matter of principle, inter- and trans-disciplinary approaches are promoted in matters of architectural design and spatial planning, as well as in the areas of history and theory of architecture. Based on the survey of funded projects which is included in the detailed presentation of the School (table 7-9), the bulk of research production is applied research. Basic research is also promoted through doctoral dissertations.
Research reports are deposited in the library and usually made available electronically; around research findings conferences and seminars are organised, which enhance the teaching process and enrich the content of many courses.
