The course "Philosophy-Aesthetics" offers an introduction to the basic ideas and schools of philosophy and its historical development. It further focuses on the special branch of philosophy dealing with aesthetics and the philosophy of the arts, discussing ideas such beauty, taste, fine art, aesthetic experience and appreciation, artistic production and the notion of artwork and its special significance. In addition the course covers in greater depth specific topics concerning Architecture in particular, such as philosophical and aesthetic issues arising in architecture and design.
